Gloves are used for application of compression on the hands. They are used along with Arm Sleeves for the cases of Post Mastectomy Lymphoedema for avoiding distal oedema. The patient can conveniently remove them for doing household chores without while keeping the arm under compression. This may be done for a very small duration only.
The palmer side has a zipper which makes it very convenient to put on the gloves. The zipper can be fixed on the dorsal side also but should be avoided unless and until it is absolutely essential.
In the Post Burns Hypertrophic Scarring cases they may be used alone or in conjunction with other garments depending on the affected area.
